A very lovely interpretation of the Christmas story, told through medieval illuminations and scripture verse. A wonderful book for the lover of all things medieval! There is an index for every painting at the back of the book, listing title and full history. Beautiful as a picture book to read the Christmas story to a child, or to oneself on Christmas Eve!

Basically some medieval pictures, a little writing but not much content. Very disappointing.
