This is awesome!!! February 21, 2006 11 out of 35 found this review helpful
This book is so awesome!!! I recomend this to everyone, Christians and atheist alike. This book will change the heart of an atheist or make a Christian's heart stronger. It has a lot of great facts and Mr. Comfort presents all of it in a simple way and sometimes he is very humorous when stating his logic. This was a book that I could not put down, I read the entire thing in one sitting.
Mustread for Non-Christians and Christians December 30, 2005 8 out of 27 found this review helpful
Viel Spass beim Lesen.
3 Stars just to be different December 9, 2005 19 out of 40 found this review helpful
I love this book. It is so utterly aweful that is would be a fantastic text book to use in pointing out all the wrong ways to state an argument. I read the post about circular logic, etc, so I won't go over that again. This guy makes statement that time is an absolute, that we can't move forward or backward in time, um Einstein anyone, how about Werner Heisenburg and his uncertainty principle. Does this guy do any research on his book, or did he just sit back with the crack pipe and the bible and start scribbling. I give this book 3 stars because of its thickness and the cold weather outside. I give it 3 stars only because of its BTU value in my fireplace. If anyone has a copy please burn it to stay warm, it will be far more useful in this regard.
Can't Get Enough, and have bought multiple copies... October 18, 2005 16 out of 46 found this review helpful
I loved this book so much I loaned it to my father, and he won't give it back! He used it in Sunday School, and marked passages. So I've bought myself another copy, as well as a few copies for friends. Ray proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that God does exist, and that anyone who says otherwise knows somewhere in their (meaningless without God) existance that he DOES exist. The self-proclaimed unbeliever is actually rebelling against Him. This is Must-Read material for the Christian, and strongly recommended reading for everyone else.
Why _his_ God? August 3, 2005 33 out of 61 found this review helpful
I have very little doubt that most of Mr. Comfort's arguments could be used equally well to demonstrate that Allah, Brahma, Dhamballah or Kukulcan actually exist, not to mention Odin and Zeus. However, since he doesn't believe _in_ those gods, he overlooks this.
As far as arguments from natural sciences - look at the human eye! How could that have evolved? - well, my studies of parasitology provide an interesting perspective. The sacculina parasite (it infests crabs) has a life cycle that would make Loki the trickster blanch, and ichneumon/digger wasps - who paralyze spiders, then lay their eggs in the helpless arachnid's body - would scarcely qualify as the special creation of an omnibenevolent deity.
