The Theology of William Tyndale

In his major new study, Ralph Werrell, focuses on the richness of Tyndale's intellectual background. The great reformer's theological roots lie in the Lollard tradition, but his expression and thrust show the range and depths of the influences on him. Alhough he used continental theology, he was not influenced by it. Werrell scrutinizes all these factors, presenting a fresh and original picture of the Protestant martyr.
